Arctic winds and weather have officially arrived in our city as forecasters predict snow and ice for large parts of the UK today, with temperatures dropping as low as -7C especially in parts of Scotland, and -5 across other parts of the UK this week.

Today could be one of the chilliest – with icy road conditions and a severe frost expected. The North of the country is already seeing snow this morning, and the Met Office has issued two yellow severe weather alerts until 11am today -with up to 5cm of snow possible over northern Scotland and Northern England.

Hazardous roads are expected to cause commuter delays and adverse weather conditions could well cause disruption to public transport too – commuters are as ever advised to check ahead before travelling.

All together now – “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”
