Looks like we’re back on heatwave alert folks (can anyone keep up?!)

The blast of Continental heat which has been predicted by forecasters this week is set to see Britain as a whole reach some of the highest temperatures in more than 100 YEARS. And Public Health England have issued a level-2 heat health watch alert that looks to remain in place throughout the duration of this week.

Christ…

The news has spurned health officials to issue warnings to the general public to stay out of the sun – and they’re asking the elderly, young and vulnerable particularly to take heed.

Temperatures are expected to catapult into the high 30s before the weekend’s out, which would challenge the all-time UK record of almost 100 years to date.

In the North of England and Scotland temperatures are expected to be a little lower but still well above what we’re used to – with the warm and humid theme expected to continue for at least a fortnight.

Our advice?

Grab the suncream, stay out of the sun in the middle of the day when the sun’s at its highest point and invest in a bloody good fan!
