Manchester's Open Air Swimming Pool And Lido Is Opening For Summer This Month

☀️ If you haven't tried this yet, you're seriously missing out 🏊

Manchester and Salford's open air swimming pool and lido will be opening for the summer season this month.

USwim allows you to swim in the open water of Salford Quays in its own cordoned off area - and it's the perfect place to spend a sunny Saturday morning when the weather is glorious (here's hoping).

The summer season at USwim begins again on Saturday 20th April 2019 at Dock 9, running until September (dependent on water temperature).

Prices start at £10 for entry and you must, for safety purposes, buy a brightly coloured swimming cap for a fiver - which takes you back to primary school swimming days.

More information on price breakdowns and memberships can be found on the USwim website.

USwim lets you keep the cap for future visits and there are also wetsuits available for those who don't want to go in in their swimming costumes.

There are also changing tents, a baggage store, and hot and cold refreshments on site.

For those of you who don't fancy the open water, there's a cordoned off swimming pool (everything is strictly monitored and you're never left alone to swim) and there are options to swim either 400m or 700m lanes.

The lido and swimming pool are across the water from MediaCityUK and close to the Lowry Shopping Centre.

The summer season is open from April until September and you can find out more information on USwim's website.
