The Savoy Cinema Is One Of The Loveliest Experiences You’ll Have In Manchester

Article Featured Image

Housed in one of the most stunning architectural buildings in Greater Manchester, The Savoy in Heaton Moor is one of the few independently run cinemas left in the country. Recently restored by a family of film enthusiasts, the cinema is situated in the leafy suburb of Heaton Moor, just a short walk from locally run restaurants, shops and cosy cafés, and just 25 minutes from the city centre.

Described as a boutique style picture house, you can relax and enjoy your favourite films from the comfort of a sofa or luxury seating, with a bar stocked with wines, beers, prosecco, teas, coffee and, of course, popcorn!

With one screening room, recent releases are shown up to three times a day, with special seasonal favourites shown (not gonna lie we’re hoping for some super soppy numbers as Valentines approaches.) Comfortable arm rests, cushions, two-seat sofas, and generous leg room – prices start at £7 and offer a discount for those with a membership.

Looking for a romantic treat for someone special? The Savoy offers gift vouchers for two tickets, with the option of cheeky extras like a bottle of wine or prosecco.

You can also hire the entire cinema for birthday parties, corporate events, special occasions, and even film festivals, so that glamorous 1920’s themed party you’ve always dreamed about can now become a reality…count us in…
