A Festive Steam Train Full Of Nostalgia Is Coming To Greater Manchester This Christmas
There's loads of stuff for kids and grown-ups alike
It may still be August, but if we're being 100% completely honest, Christmas is always on the brain.
And this event looks absolutely magical.
The Christmas season kicks off this year with a steam train ride through winter wonderland, the Irwell Valley, thanks to the East Lancashire Railway.

There will be festive favourites on board, including a traditional brass band and carol singers, costumed characters, an on-board magician, Santa and his elves, as well as clues for the Great Christmas Treasure Hunt.
Father Christmas himself will ride on the train with passengers, handing out gifts for the kids while grown-ups are enjoying their mince pie and festive tipple.
The train will travel to Rawtenstall and back through the Irwell Valley, returning to Bury Bolton Street Station, which will be decorated with hundreds of Christmas trees.
Rides are available from November 24 running until Christmas Eve - tickets cost from £16 for adults and from £13 for children.
You can book tickets on their website.
