Victoria Baths – widely recognised as ‘Britain’s finest municipal swimming pool’ – is opening its doors for public swimming for one weekend only this year.
The special event means ticket holders will have the chance to swim in the bath’s Gala Pool, which is usually drained of water and used for events.
Tickets give you a 45 minutes swim in the pool (or a sit poolside) and includes changing times in the historic curtained poolside cubicle.
Public swimming at Victoria Baths has only taken place twice before since its closure in 1993.
The Gala Pool will be open for public swimming on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September 2019, 11am until 4pm, with tickets costing £16.49.
Money raised by the event with go towards the restoration of the baths.
