This incredible floating hotel room, anchored in an ocean floor is absolutely mind-blowing with its a room that is literally under the sea.

The structure, at The Manta Resort in Tanzania, has three levels – each one with a completely difference experience.

Underwater Room

Three levels of excitement

The landing deck, at sea level, has a lounge area and bathroom facility with a ladder leading up to the roof.

The roof has its very own lounging area for those sun worshippers and stargazers.

You can literally sleep under the stars.

Underwater Room Upper Level

Descending from the deck is a ladder that will lead you into quite possibly one of the most magical bedrooms you will ever stay in.

Here you will lie on a soft kingsize bed surrounded by panes of glass which offers almost 360 degrees of ocean-sea viewing.

With the hotel room being located right in the middle of the sea, shoals of reef fish and exquisite, often rarely seen sea-life will be right there in front of your windows.

By night, the underwater spotlights on all sides of the room attract the shyer and more unusual, for instance squid.

It is even said that octopus and even Spanish dancers have been seen to attach themselves to the glass panes.

How does it work?

Your journey begins with a short boat ride to the underwater room which is approximately 250m from the shore, in crystal clear blue waters.

On arrival you will be shown around your very own private floating island.

And to top this magical experience, your hotel room will have a fully stocked bar, awesome open-air shower and for those looking for adventure – kayak, snorkel and fins will be provided for exploring the surrounding Indian Ocean.

How much does it cost?

Well surely you won’t be surprised when I tell you it’s not cheap at $1700 a night.

But can you really put a price on such an incredible experience?
