Halloween has become huge in this country over the last few years and 2017 in Manchester is certainly no exception…
Running from October 21-31, Halloween in the City will see Manchester eerily awash with spooky decorations and pumpkin lanterns as the streets are taken over by a huge festival.
Manchester BID, the city centre’s Business Improvement District, has promised attractions including mind-bending inflatable monsters and spooky optical illusions.
The event follows the success of last year’s city’s first ever official Halloween celebrations in 2016.
Come nightfall, some of the city’s most iconic buildings including Manchester Town Hall, Manchester Arndale, House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges will for the second year glow a ghastly green.
As part of Halloween in the City, on Saturday October 28 and Sunday October 29, the city’s shopping district will host Halloweekend – a two day festival.
Prepare to be spooked by giant haunted houses, everyone…
Over at the city’s Museum of Science and Industry, a unique collection of over 100 robots, from a 16th-century mechanical monk to robots from both science fiction and modern-day research labs will enable visitors to discover the cultural, historical and technological context of humanoid robots.
