Argos, Tesco and Amazon have issued urgent recalls for a soft toy over fears that children could choke, and customers who have already bought the product are being urged to return it immediately for a full refund.

Vivid Imaginations Ltd has stated that 200 of the £9.99 soft toy which only recently went on sale had small parts which could prove hazardous to young children.

The My First Puppy toys, which were previously in the two for £15 deal at Argos, are now being urgently recalled as a "precaution" and the toy is no longer available to buy.

My First Puppy was made available in four different types and presented in a pet carrier complete with accessories including a lead and a pet brush.

"The safety concern is that the toys do not meet the required standards and it may be possible for small parts to become detached posing a possible choking hazard to young children.
