This video, taken by bystander Stephen Mcintosh, shows the incredibly tense moment a man was rescued from under a metrolink in Manchester city centre.
The incident took place on High Street, between Shudehill and Market Street, at 2.20pm on Monday 12 February.
A man was hit by a tram and then, as his bag was stuck on the underside of the carriage, he was unable to escape.
Paramedics were called and are on the scene next to the Arndale shopping centre. Fire crews and Police were also in attendance. Tram lines were closed.
Local shopworkers used a penknife to set the man free.
The man is currently in Manchester Royal Infirmary, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
