Jamie Carragher Has Issued A Public Apology After Spitting In Fans' Faces
He says he was 'goaded' and 'lost it'
Jamie Carragher has issued a public apology after he was filmed spitting at football fans in a car.
Earlier this morning, The Mirror published a video of Carragher spitting from his car window into the faces of a pair of football fans.
In the apology, he says he was 'goaded' three or four times by the man and his daughter whilst driving on the motorway.
In a tweet from late last night, Carragher said: "Totally out of order & Ive apologised personally to all the family this evening.
"I was goaded 3/4 times along the motorway while being filmed & lost my rag. No excuse apologies."

The father of the 14-year-old girl told The Mirror they had been having a 'bit of banter' with the football star before the incident took place.
Since the incident, Carragher has been pulled from his coverage of Manchester United vs Sevilla for Danish Channel TV3. Sky Sports told the paper they will be addressing the incident with him.
