Where The Hell Was Aileen Then?!

We were promised a storm for the ages with winds of up to 55mph, but it looks like the worst of Storm Aileen missed Greater Manchester...

While it appears we just missed the edge of Aileen's wrath, thousands across the UK have been left without power as the first named storm of 2017 hit last night and continues throughout the duration of this morning.

While the Met Office weather warning suggested the whole of the North would be on the receiving end - Greater Manchester appears to have got off lightly.

This follows a bout of flash flooding on Monday afternoon and evening.
