This Gasworks Brewbar Is Now Open On First Street!

kegs, glorious kegs...

The team behind The Docklands announce new site

The Gasworks Brewbar opened on First Street last night...

The 5,550 square foot venue, built on the old Gaythorn Gasworkssite, is the love-child of the team behind The Dockyard concept.

And the craft beer specialists have added their very own six barrel working micro-brewery to the new site! There, a team of brewers are concocting and refining their very own recipes for punters to watch, taste and even get stuck in brewing up their own perfect poison.

Don't worry though, for the slightly less adventurous generic lagers and ales are also on offer, as well as favourite small local brewers such as Brightside and Shindigger.

The industrial design, vast and impressive, offers large format tables so it's set to be the next hot spot for big groups - there's also be an outside terrace seating 200.

Raw Ingredients and raw knowledge

Owner Steve Pilling said

“With our passion for the raw ingredient and the knowledge and understanding of beer that we’ve built up since opening our first Dockyard, it really felt like a natural progression to start brewing our own.

“And First Street is just the right spot to create something unique and as yet unseen in Manchester.”

A freshly prepared menu is also on offer serving pub classics like burgers sarnies and of course - pies.
