Courteeners Headline Concert To Raise Money For Manchester Homelessness Charity

The charity hopes to get people off the streets by 2020

A concert in aid of Greater Manchester mayor's homelessness charity is happening in Manchester next month and the line-up of performers has been announced.

The Raise the Roof show, coming to Victoria Warehouse next month, will feature Courteeners, Blossoms, Lisa Stansfield and Bugzy Malone in the line-up.

Andy Burnham's A Bed Every Night hopes to end homelessness in Manchester by the year 2020.

The benefit concert will take place on Friday 24 May and tickets will be available through a ballot.

GM Mayer Andy Burnham told the BBC that the charity has helped over 500 people off the streets since its creation in November last year.

The ticket ballot for The Raise the Roof show costs £10 to enter and closes on 3 May.

According to Ticketmaster, to enter the ballot, and to make a £10 donation, fans should text the word RAISE to 84988 before midday on Friday 3 May 2019. 1,600 fans will be contacted by Monday 6 May with a pair of tickets.
