The Names Of Manchester's 'Walk Of Fame' Stars Revealed

Who's made the list?

Hollywood

Move over, Hollywood.

Manchester is the new home of glitz and glamour after revealing its very own 'Star Walk' to bark the launch of The Liqour Store -  a new bar on first street off Whitworth Street West.

The owners held a poll to find out who Mancunians considered icons of their city and the results have been revealed.

So who joins professional stargazer Brian Cox on the list? The great and the good of the world-famous Manchester music scene for a start. Oasis pair Noel and Liam Gallagher are joined by Smiths frontman Morissey, Stone Roses lead singer Ian Brown and Joy Division's Ian Curtis.

On top of that, Manchester United football legend Paul Scholes makes the list along with BAFTA-winning writer Caroline Aherne, film director Danny Boyle and Paralympic gold medalist Sarah Storey.

The full list is as follows:

 Noel Gallagher (Oasis singer/songwriter)

 Liam Gallagher (Oasis singer/songwriter)

 Morissey (Lead singer, The Smiths)

Ian Brown (Lead singer, Stone Roses)

Ian Curtis (Lead singer, Joy Division)

 Bez (Percussionist/dancer, Happy Mondays)

Mick Hucknall (Lead singer, Simply Red)

Paul Scholes (Manchester United and England footballer)

 Brian Cox (Phyisicist)

Maxine Peake (Actor)

Tony Warren (Writer/creator of Coronation Street)

Lemn Sissay (Author/broadcaster)

 John Thaw (Actor)

 Caroline Aherne (Writer/comedian)

Dame Sarah Storey (Paralympic gold medalist)

 L S Lowry (Artist)

 Danny Boyle (Film director)

Tony Wilson (Record label owner/nightclub manager)

 Emmeline Pankhurst (Political activist)

 Les Dawson (Comedian/actor)

It's certainly a real who's who of who's great in our brilliant city. But did pranksters really have to nick professional maraca-shaker Bez's star so soon after it was put in place?
