The fire which blazed through Manchester’s newest restaurant’s Roof Garden was contained in one section and Greater Manchester Fire Services have confirmed that the Ivy in Spinningfields is now totally safe to occupy.
The glamorous restaurant-bar located at The Pavilion, Byrom Street in the city centre have thanked members of the public and friends and families of the staff for their kind messages of support regarding Friday’s unfortunate incident.
They have issued the following statement following the fire…
“The fire was contained in one section of The Roof Garden thanks to the excellent work of the Greater Manchester Fire Services who have informed us that the building is now totally safe to occupy.
“Whilst work starts to refurb and repair any damage done to The Roof Garden the ground floor Ivy Brasserie and Ivy Asia on the second floor are completely unaffected by the fire and will continue to operate as usual.
“All reservations will be honoured, we are planning to reopen The Roof Garden on the top floor towards the end of February and will of course notify everyone as soon as the date is ‘solid’.”
The team at the Ivy have also promised that as a special thank you for the very warm welcome that Manchester has given them since opening on 27th November they are planning a SUPER PARTY on Friday 12th April encompassing the entire building and outside areas.
