Remember that feeling of jealousy you had watching contestants on popular Channel 4 game show The Crystal Maze attempt to collect time crystals or escape the crystal dome?

Now you can experience that adrenaline for yourself as the show is bringing its live experience to Manchester next year. 

The format, which currently runs in London and has been receiving rave reviews and is sure to take the north by storm when it arrives in the spring. 

The Crystal Maze was an adventure-based game show whre contestants had  to collect time crystals in order to give them more time in the crystal dome as part of the final challenge at the end. 

Standing in their way were intense challenges which tested particiapants' physical and mental fortitude. 

The original TV show ran from 1990 to 1995 and was hosted by Richard O'Brien.

Comedian Stephen Merchant has recently signed up to host a celebrity version which is set to star former Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand, DJ Sarah Cox and Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.
