Plane Breaks Nose Wheel While Landing At Manchester Airport
The incident happened this morning...
One of the two runways at Manchester Airport were closed for a number of hours earlier today after a plane broke its nose wheel upon landing.
Passengers on board the British Airways flight from Heathrow reported hearing a crack before the plane landed.
They were asked to remain on the plane for 45 minutes after the incident before being evacuated.
Runway one was closed for hours while investigations took place, but there was no disruption to flights, with traffic diverted to runway two.
Following this mornings issue we remain fully operational, with traffic using Runway 2. At this time of the day we only need to use 1 runway— Manchester Airport (@manairport) October 19, 2016
