Manchester City Council Confirm Piccadilly Wall Will Be Torn Down

Farewell, wall....

Manchester City Council and landowners Legal & General have confirmed plans to take down the much loathed Piccadilly Wall at Piccadilly Gardens.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the concrete landmark which is often compared to the Berlin Wall in Germany, is set to be replaced by a glass-fronted row of restaurants with a green roof, terrace bar and central walkway through to the nearby bus station.

How do you feel about the move? Is it something your in favour of or would you rather the wall was kept in place? Let us know your feelings in the comments.
