Independent cafe and bar on Burton Road, Disbury, Mary & Archie’s has announced its closure, and we’re gutted.
After 7 successful years, the Didsbury cafe has said ‘it’s time to move on’ from their little corner spot.
The place has been known for their top food, a good old tipple and live music and many have grown to love them over years.
But of course, they’re not leaving without saying goodbye as they will be hosting a ‘farewell party’ on 30th July.
However, it’s not all bad news as they will be continuing their efforts on their Chorlton site as well as focusing on some new and exciting adventures.
They announced the closure on Facebook with an emotional post:
‘Attention all! After 7 brilliant years in our little corner spot on Burton Road we have to announce that it is now time for us to move on.
It has been an absolute pleasure serving the people of Didsbury and beyond and we feel privileged to have had those years to do that. We have been fortunate enough to meet and work with so many fantastic people over the years and it really will be a very emotional goodbye from us. We will be closing our doors at number 200 Burton Road on 30th July.
We hope that you can join us in celebrating 7 fantastic years and see us out with a bang for our final weekend of service starting with a big old knees up on Friday the 27th of July.
It is not the end for Mary & Archie, we will be continuing to grow our Chorlton site as well as expanding on some exciting new ideas. So, watch this space!
We’d like to take this opportunity to say a humongous thank-you to all our staff and regulars, we love you – you are what made us.
Team M&A. xxx’
I’m not crying, you are.
