It’s been announced that Albert’s Restaurant and Bar in Didsbury is to close in less than two weeks’ time order to undergo a £500,000 refurbishment.
The venue will close on January 2nd 2019 in preparation for a “dramatic” transformation into a new, bigger, stand-alone bar with party tables and an outdoor area to boot.
The West Didsbury restaurant is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with the half a million refurb.
Currently Albert’s is predicted to reopen late March with a brand new and updated look and feel both inside and out.
Albert’s drinks offering and area is set to be transformed into a new destination bar for the neighbourhood. With a bigger bar; a whole new bar seating area; a more extensive local and craft beer selection; and an updated seasonal, signature cocktail collection, it is predicted to be a “quality new addition to the Didsbury bar scene.”
Guests will be able to book party tables at Albert’s Bar just to enjoy the fabulous new drinks, whilst a revamped bar menu will provide a social, grazing accompaniment to the party table experience if desired.
The food menu at Albert’s will retain its consistent and high quality offering, with the house signature dishes all staying put – from home-made Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie (still made to the same recipe that James’ mum uses in her own kitchen) and Albert’s Fish and Chips, to the Albert’s Stone Baked Pizza menu and Malayan Chicken… all the classics will continue to be served up in Albert’s traditional warm and welcoming style.
Until then, you can still enjoy these beauties up until the 2nd…
We can’t wait to see the new venue in the flesh!
