Give your messages Mancunian accent...

Mancmoji2

Next time we text our kid we're gonna have to try this mint Mancmoji app.

Created by Fanmoji, the it features a massive 100 emjois based on Manchester's famous people, phrases and landmarks.

Allowing you to "give your messages a Mancunian accent", they've really gone to great lengths to make sure as many references to our great city are in there as possible, from Canal Street to the Curry Mile and Old Trafford to Piccadily Gardens. Salford Lads Club isn't forgotten, nor are the Metrolink, Deansgate Locks or phrases such as buzzin, mint or sound.

Looks proper good.

After a few weeks of teasing their app, Fanmoji released their collection earlier today. Available on iPhone or Android devices, it costs 79p, for use on iMessage, WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook.

Designed by Mancunian illustrator James McGuirk, the app looks like a great way to celebrate our city's culture while also making plans with mates, arranging a date or take the piss out of a mutual enemy.

Sound!
