A Manchester restaurant dedicated to offering “the best steak and gin the city will serve up” is looking to hire 40 gin and steak obsessed lads and lasses when it opens in the Corn Exchange this year…

Alston Bar & Beef, which will open its doors in Autumn, is looking for staff including chefs and front of house employees.

The 160-cover venue is the first England-based branch for its award-winning Scottish counterpart Alston Bar and Beef in Glasgow.

It aims to build on the success of the Glasgow venue, and bring the highest quality Tweed Valley steaks to the city, alongside a selection of the world’s finest gins and in-house gin compounds.

Recruitment is already underway and General Manager Riki Bennet is looking for people who have a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service, as well as those with an appreciation of all things steak and gin to join the team.

A recruitment open day will take place on Wednesday 13 September at Waxy O’Connor’s in The Printworks from 12pm – 5pm. It is open to applicants for all roles.

Riki says:

“We are looking for a team to bring our award-winning concept to life here in Manchester.

“Our mission is to raise the bar for meat and gin lovers and it’s essential we have a team of staff who are passionate about becoming experts in their field and delivering the best dining and drinking experience.

“It will be a great place to work and develop your career in the industry, with the support of the wider Glendola Leisure brand which has a strong reputation for staff development, training and progression.

“We look forward to welcoming our new recruits and working with them to write this exciting chapter of our story here in Manchester.”

Glendola Leisure will offer a competitive salary and hourly wage and new recruits will benefit from a benefits package including holidays, loyalty schemes and training and development programmes.
