Crazy Pedro's Have Made Our Olympians Into A Pizza!

Today's 'Going For Gold' pizza face range celebrates the Olympic homecoming which kicks off in the city at 4.30pm.

The pizza range will feature olympians and paralympians including Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Andy Murray. The pizza restaurant and late night bar commissioned Prudence Staite also made a Royal wedding pizza portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Crazy Pedro’s is famed for its wacky pizza creations, which have included a 'Back 2 School' September special which had turkey dinosaurs and potato smileys as toppings. But they've now gone one step further with their Olympian pizza face range - designing 6 of Team GB's Rio 2016 heroes.

Crazy Pedro’s ‘Going for Gold’ collection features two Manchester stars from the Hockey Team - Nicola White from Oldham and Team GB Hockey Captain, Kate Richardson-Walsh from Stockport - who led her team to victory and who carried the flag for Team GB at the Olympic closing ceremony.

World record holder for the 200m medley and Paralympic Swimmer Gold medallist, Ellie Simmonds has also been created, along with national treasures Mo Farah, Andy Murray and of course - Jessica Ennis.

Lyndon Higginson of Crazy Pedro’s had this to say about the whacky new range:

“Britain did amazingly well in the Rio Olympics and Manchester is delighted to host the homecoming parade. We thought we would make a few of the athletes our kind of medal, which is obviously an edible pizza of their faces."

“All athletes are welcome to enjoy a slice of pizza as a congratulations gift from us, just show us your medal!”

Get yourself down there guys - and don't forget to save us a slice!
