Manchester City will be crowned champions of the Premier League today, following an open top bus victory parade through the city centre.
There will be road closures in the city centre throughout the day, starting from 5pm, and it is expected that roads will be busier than usual as spectators travel into the city centre, with commuters leaving earlier to avoid delays.
Deansgate has been blocked off this morning, as organisers set up the staging area for tonight’s presentation.

The parade will start at Victoria Street at 6.15pm before making its way through the city centre. It will finish on Deansgate, close to the junction of Peter Street, where players will be presented the winning trophy at around 7pm.

The roads that remain open are expected to be busier than normal, with bus services expected to experience significant delays.
Bus services into the city centre will be diverted from 3.00pm until roads re-open.
Metrolink services between East Didsbury and Rochdale will be diverted to Market Street, and Shudehill from 5.30pm until the end of service, no services will serve Exchange Square during this time.
Rail and tram services are expected to be busier than usual as spectators make their way to and from the event.
