Calling All Poetry Buffs - Albert Square Is To Place To Be Tonight

If you find yourself feeling down, then get yourself into town...

An evening of food, drink and words to make you think. Alright, we'll leave this poetry lark to the experts.

Tonight sees Albert Square mark National Poetry Day with a special night devoted to poetry led by the city’s unofficial poet laureate, Mike Garry.

It's all in aid of the StreetSmart campaign which works with Manchester's best restaurants to help the homeless by adding £1 to each bill throughout the festive months of November and December.

If the promise of a night of verse, music and laughter won't convince you to come down than perhaps the fact that the event takes in the in the midst of the 100 Greatest Beers Festival will!

It's guaranteed to be a great night's entertainment so if you're a poet and you don't know it (or you do know it) then get on down.
