A Man Has Been Stabbed Repeatedly In Bolton

A 49-year-old man has been stabbed “a number of times” outside a Spar shop on Chorley Old Road, Bolton.

Police were called to the scene around 11pm on Monday 9 October after reports of an unprovoked attack on a pedestrian.

The attacker, believed to be male, approached the victim and shouted at him, before stabbing him repeatedly and fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.

CCTV footage shows the man the Police wish to speak to in connection with the incident. They are urging anyone who has any information to come forward:

Detective Constable Chris Hickey of Greater Manchester Police, said: “This man suffered serious injuries at the hands of an armed attacker in an unprovoked attack.

“We have released an image of a man we wish to speak to in connection with the incident, and are asking for anyone who recognises him to please help us identify who he is.

“Similarly, we’d ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything to suspicious, to share what you know with police.”
