Manchester’s biggest student shopping night returns on Thursday 27th April, with more than 140 designer, high street and independent stores across Manchester city centre offering up to 30% off exclusively for students.

And it's all in aid of MCR Student Night Out – organised by Manchester’s Business Improvement District, Manchester BID and Manchester Arndale, in collaboration with Capital Manchester and UNiDAYS.

It's set to see the city come alive with Captial FM DJs, street food, top brand pop-up stalls, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s Thunder and Lightning Roadshow and lots of freebies and giveaways from 4pm-8pm.

The city-wide student takeover will also see which student band is crowned the hottest new sound in Manchester Arndale’s Student Band competition. 

Bands will perform throughout the centre on the night to an established industry panel of judges including;  Gavin Sharp, CEO of Band on the Wall, Tim Thomas, Director at Blueprint Studios, Clint Boon, The Inspiral Carpets, and new judge for 2017 - Jo Good from Radio X.

Which brands are on board?

Helping students kick off spring break in style, H&M, Kurt Geiger, Ted Baker, Topshop, Topman, New Look, Urban Outfitters, Office, Pretty Green, Timberland, Radley, River Island, Schuh, Dune, Boux Avenue, Burton, Accessorize, Vans, Dorothy Perkins, Dr Martens, Miss Selfridge, Fat Face, UGG, Fossil, Footasylum, Jack & Jones and Lipsy are all offering 20% off while Gap and Levi’s will be offering some of the biggest discounts of the night with 30% off.

Students can bag a beauty bargain in KIKO Milano, Kiehl’s, The Perfume Shop, The Fragrance Shop, L’Occitane, Supercuts, Rush Hair, The Body Shop and Superdrug and make their digs feel like home with 20% off at Baytree Interiors and Clas Ohlson. For new stationery to show off in lectures Ryman has 20% off (for more info and to pick up a free goody bag head for one of their team out on Market Street) while at Paperchase there’s 15% off, free personalisation of notebooks, free goody bags with spends over £10 and drop-in crafts.

Selfridges Exchange Square is hosting an evening of exclusive offers with discounts of up to 20% off selected brands, live DJs, special gifts, complimentary sweet treats and an array of extraordinary experiences on every floor! 

While Harvey Nics is offering 10% off selected Fashion, Accessories and Beauty between 4pm and 8pm, with live DJ sets, beauty treats and complimentary drinks.

Barburrito gives students the chance to win a free bag of chips and dip by competing with their friends in a giant game of Noughts and Crosses, while Byron Hamburger is hosting Giant Beer Pong to win the best burgers in Manchester. For those who dare, live escape game company Breakout Manchester is hosting the ultimate Market Street Challenge with a unique set of challenges and The Lowry will be showcasing Breakin’ Convention- the world’s biggest festival of hip hop dance revealing the best talent from around the world. Students can grab a prize with Manchester Pride on Market Street and step up to the UNiDAYS Spin the Wheel challenge by catching golden tickets in exchange for foodie treats.
