Trains Out Of Manchester Piccadilly Have Been Cancelled Due To Broken Rail Track

Virgin Trains, Northern and TransPennine services have all been affected.

Another day and another delay out of Manchester Piccadilly.

This time it’s due to a broken railway track in Ardwick, between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport that is causing chaos to train services.

The disruption is expected to last all day as the problem is not due to be fixed until Wednesday morning.

There will be a reduced Transpennine Express service running between Manchester Airport and Manchester Victoria.

Virgin Trains have also stated that their services between Manchester Piccadilly and London Euston will also be reduced.

Northern have cancelled all trains between Blackpool North and Manchester Airport, Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Airport as well as Wigan North Western and Alderley Edge.

All other routes out of Manchester piccadilly are said to be delayed by up to 15 minutes due to the congestion caused by this mornings failure.

If your journey is disrupted today you will be entitled to compensation or a replacement ticket.
