An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who collapsed on Roe Cross Road, Mottram in Longdendale in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to the MEN.
Although the death is not being treated as suspicious the investigation has been launched to understand the incident.
In a statement to the MEN officers stated: “Shortly before 6am today, Saturday, officers were called in response to reports of a seriously injured man in the road.
“Officers attended and found the body of a man believed to be in his 40s.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of him being there. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“Road closures were put in place whilst enquiries were carried out however these have now been lifted.”
