Dumbledore Rises From The Dead In Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
A collective sigh of relief, joy and a whole lot of excitement comes with the glorious news.
If you didn't shed a tear at Dumbledore's passing in the Half Blood Prince then you're made of sterner stuff than most. It was arguably one of the saddest moments in recent cinematic history and saw the loss of a character who a generation have grown up adoring.
For anyone who has forgotten, there were a number of factors culminating in Dumbledore's death (plus the fact that he was already dying due to Marvel Gaunt's cursed ring.) Dumbledore allowed Snape to kill him to gain Voldemort's trust, to protect Malfoy from having to kill him and to pass the allegiance of the Elder Wand onto Snape.
BUT HE IS BACK.
We knew JK wouldn't let us down. Albus will return in the sequel to the pre-Potter wizarding world spin off. Though we're being made to wait for his big screen return, just knowing he's making an appearance is enough to keep us going for now. Johnny Depp will also be stepping into the sequel as well, as if this wasn't all already exciting enough!
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be set in 1920s New York, where the wizarding community are struggling to keep their side of life hidden away from the 'Salemars.' (A group of muggles (or No-Majs, the American for muggle)) set on getting rid of them and our new dark wizard 'Gellert Grindelwald.'
The first instalment arrives to cinemas next week (18th November) and will feature the likes of Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston and Dan Fogler taking the leading roles, not to mention Colin Farrell as the Director of Magical Security. Get excited by watching the trailer below, keep an ear out around the 40 second mark for the long awaited mention of Dumbledore, get ridiculously excited and repeat.
