BREAKING: Torrential Rain & Floods Across Manchester Causing Absolute Mayhem

Wetsuit, anyone?

Floods

First came the lightning. Now it appears the weather Gods have struck the city once again...

Flooding is rife across parts of Greater Manchester this evening as torrential rain has lashed down with brutal force, and some areas have been worse affected than others...

The M62 westbound is currently closed and some Manchester residents have even been advised against travelling unless absolutely crucial, due to the severity of the floods...

Shocking videos and images taken outside of schools, businesses and homes have been appearing on Twitter and social media showing the floods and the effects of it - Rushcroft primary school in Oldham is just one of many to be hit by the severe weather tonight.

Locals and businesses in Tameside and Oldham have been reporting severe problems as well - with large parts of the areas and even local business ground floors submerged.

The Environmental Agency has issued a flood warning in areas including Oldham, Bolton, Rochdale, Haslingden, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall.

Hyde, Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Stalybridge and Glossop have also been affected to different degrees...

Puddles puddles puddles! But im home now its taken 3 and half hours #flood #water #homeanddry
