GMP have launched a murder investigation after two people, a man and a woman, were found dead at a house in North Manchester.
Police were called to a house in Beech Mount in Harpurhey by North West Ambulance Service around 10am this morning, Friday 22 December.
They discovered the bodies of a man and a woman believed to be in their 30s.
GMP are currently treating the deaths as unexplained.
Police have cordoned off the property while forensic officers asses the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Terry Crompton of GMP’s City of Manchester team said: “We have specially trained officers supporting the families at this very difficult time.
“I would urge anyone with any information that could assist our investigation to please get in touch.”
At 6pm police confirmed to the MEN that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths of the two people.
