Since the big news hit last week that our Christmas favourites The Holiday and Love Actually have landed a la Netflix, we’ve been daydreaming about that glorious house that Cameron Diaz and Jude Law’s characters fall in love in…

Turns out, the house that inspired festive rom-com The Holiday it is now up for sale on Rightmove – for a whopping £650,000.

Whoooooosh.

Not sure there’s anyone we love quite that much to splash that kind of cash on this Christmas, but a gal can dream can’t she?

The quaint snow-capped cottage which inspired Iris’ house – Rosehill Cottage – goes by the actual name of Honeysuckle cottage, and it’s located in the village of Holmbury St Mary (not too far from Dorking.)

The three-bedroom extended period cottage is an undeniable stunner, and with its ironstone galleting and brick quoins under a tiled roof with generous gardens – we’re already absolutely besotted with it.

The property has a super cute, and original, inglenook fireplace with Jotul log burner and exposed timbers, as well as underfloor heating to the ground floor and an extensive use of oak throughout – just to give you that proper Christmas feel.

Ooooh, we’re imagining ourselves cuddled up in front of the fire with a glass of mulled wine for sure…

You can view the property, which is available to buy now, via the Rightmove website here.
