This 7p Product Is A Lifesaver For Defrosting Your Car In Seconds

AND your hands stay warm

De Icer

One of THE worst things about January?..

Apart from the back-to-work-blues and New Year diet of course...having to get up extra early to de-ice your car before work. It's a right royal pain and takes up extra time you could be spending warm and cosy in bed. If only someone would come up with a hack that gets rid of all that ice super speedily.

One man may have answered our prayers...and the method is so simple, we're amazed we hadn't thought of it ourselves!

Daniel Harris shared his little trick for us all to see on social media and people are loving the idea so much hundreds are using it on their own cars already.

How does it work?

Before you start, wave a final goodbye to that classic de-icer and scraper combo - you won't be needing them here. Daniel recommends simply filling a sandwich bag with warm water (bear with us here) then dragging the filled bag over the windows.

Voila! It takes less than two minutes and the ice melts immediately on contact. You can get packs of 25 sandwich bags from major supermarkets for about £1.80 (Tesco) or less! So at 7p a go, this is well worth a try.

"Hot water in a food bag and bam you've got a de icer and a hand warmer. Works a treat, and it's fast! I used warm tap water so I could safely hold it and lower the risk of cracking my screen.

"The de-icer cans are so cold in the morning and this way keeps you nice and toasty. Oh and yes it was ice not condensation.

"I know it looks it but try it and you won't be disappointed."

We'll be giving it a try first thing tomorrow. Have your own method? Let us know in the comments!
