Vertical Chill Ice Wall

This is an amazing one for 14 plus, with a refrigerated unit running through the middle of Vertical Chill’s two floors. Inside at a constant -12°C an 8m concave real ice climbing wall presents a steep challenge – it’s best just for kids who can already climb.

Legoland and Sealife

Sealife has launched the Jurassic Ranger event where visitors can travel back in time to the age of dinosaurs – while you can enjoy the ultimate Lego indoor playground next door, with with 3 rides, 10 Lego build and play zones, and a 4D cinema. A combi ticket is £16.50 per kid.

Chill Factore

Whatever the weather outside, there’s all kinds of winter wonders in the Chill Factore Snow Park. Kids go crazy for Downhill Donuts and everyone can get in on the action with Sledge ‘O’ Mania or Luge Slip ‘N’ Slide.

CBBC Tour at MediaCity UK

MediaCityUK is the home of CBBC, where many favourites like Blue Peter and Newsround are made. Visitors can have a go at being a CBBC presenter or find out how it feels to present the news and weather. And as well as all the interactivity, you’ll discover what goes on behind the scenes.

Go Ape Rivington

Every little monkey loves getting to grips with Go Ape – the tree top adventure has zip wires, tarzan swings, rope ladders and a variety of obstacles and crossings.

Spy Mission Treasure Trail

The Manchester Spy Mission Treasure Trail will keep the entire family entertained for hours for less than £10. The Castlefield trail starts at the Museum of Science and Industry and takes you through the Roman gardens and fort to the canal area, before you head along canalside footpaths. Afterwards you can head to The Wharf for some lunch and a cheeky beverage.

Rope Race Climbing and Activity Centre

Rope Race runs climbing sessions for all abilities, and will turn your tots into mini monkeys in no time. The Marple spot’s also got an indoor archery range for over eight year old and older.
