You can have various reasons for wanting to go on a diet.
Maybe you want to lose a substantial amount of weight for health reasons or maybe you’re doing it for yourself and your own personal goals.
Well, it seems that the ‘123 Diet’ could be the next one that you give a go, especially after the results that this man had.
Jeff who is 46-years-old, was on the brink of death according to news.com.au when he came across the diet which saw him lose 41kg in half a year.
“One night, I came across the 123Diet program and it’s online community through my Facebook newsfeed,” he said.
Here’s how it works and yes, as you can imagine, the 123 part means that there is three different phrases that you go through:
“There are three phases to this diet;
Phase 1 – Loading days – Eat as much junk food as you possibly can for two days only while taking the drops 3 times a day.
Phase 2 – Restricted calories – You eat 500 calories a day (no calorie counting, simply follow the meal plan). You continue to take the drops 3 times a day and stay on this phase till you reach your goal weight.
Phase 3 – Maintenance – The introduction of a lot more food back into your diet. You are no longer taking the drops on this phase and you stay on it for 3 weeks. This phase resets your metabolism at your goal weight to keep the weight off.
After the three week maintenance phase, you can return to your normal 1200-1500 calorie a day eating plan.
Each bottle lasts 42 days and will shed 12-15kg of weight.
Any man or woman who wants to lose weight can use this protocol. Anyone can use the drops, however, if you are concerned, please consult your doctor. Not to be taken if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
For best results, it is recommended to do NO exercise on this protocol. If you really need to, it is recommended that you only do light exercise while doing this program eg; Walking, Yoga, Pilates or light weight lifting. Any high calorie burning exercises are not recommended as it will cause the body to go into starvation mode and hold on to the fat.
The drops deplete your abnormal fat reserves (the fat you want gone) as opposed to just a low calorie diet without the drops. A low calorie diet will go for your normal fat reserves (the fat the body needs to cover the bones and vital organs). This is why obese patients complain that they lose the wrong fat or muscle mass and they find that their face becomes drawn and haggard, they are tired and hungry all the time.
During the first week most people experience a 3-7kg weight loss, then a plateau. This does not mean your weight loss has stopped. Inches are being lost continuously while on the program, and after a while patients will experience another large drop on the scales. You need to have at least 5kgs to lose in order to do the program.”
However, several medical experts have stated that the 123 diet has not been scientifically proven to be safe and effective.
They believe that there is safer ways to lose weight instead of this plan.
