We don’t get much of a chance to lounge around by a swimming pool in England.
Usually when the weather is shite we’re relegated indoors. But this week has been an oasis of glorious sunshine, warm temperatures and plenty of evenings spent in a beer garden.
And there are loads of other ways to celebrate the great outdoors when the weather is hot hot hot.
Hathersage Swimming Pool is open air and heated, and is surrounded by panoramic views of countryside.
Located in the small village of Hathersage, Peak District, there are views of views of Stanage Edge, a church and the surrounding hills.
It’s just over an hours drive from Manchester but it’s totally worth it.
You’ll need to buy a ticket for a session, or season tickets are available for those who’ll want a regular swim.
The pool is also available for private hire on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings throughout the season, with large inflatables and The Challenger Aqua Run for guests to hire.
Summer poooooool party anyone?
