Know someone who is a complete and utter grump and never seems satisfied with anything or anyone?

We hear ya, but as a recent study has just revealed, it’s actually the crankiest of folk that are more likely to succeed in life, go figure!

The study learnt that grumpy folk are not only more likely to earn more cash in their chosen careers – but the likelihood of having a successful marriage is greater for ’em too!

While it doesn’t really seem to make a whole lot of sense, given that happier people exude the qualities that seem most desirable and therefore the likelihood of success seems greater, apparently it’s so – according to science…

According to the BBC, grouchy people tend to be better decision-makers, negotiators and more efficient and have less chance of a heart attack. While good moods are associated with gullibility and selfishness…

The University of New South Wales’ Joseph Forgas investigated how mood can impact our daily lives by showing volunteers happy or sad films.

Those in a good mood proved themselves more gullible and less sceptical and able to make efficient decisions than their cranky counterparts.
