For people who celebrate their birthdays in December (like me) it's not exactly a time when you feel special and cherished...

Your mates have spent too much on pressies and can't afford to go out and celebrate with you, you get your birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper and you can't fit into your cute new party dress because you're already a month-deep down the Celebrations box.

However, a recent study reports that December babies are more special than they may realise...boasting a whole loada amazing benefits, and that's according to science.

People born in December are more likely to live to 105 - or even longer, The Mirror reports.

Christmas babies also have a lower risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular problems, a study of almost 2 million people from the US infers, and the lead researcher notes that this may be down to "seasonal variations."

A survey of US college students also shows that those born in the 12th month complain are less moody than others and complain less than their friends and colleagues.
