Been hoping your other half will pop the question all year long?
Well, you might just be getting your wish fulfilled sooner than you think…
New research by the company behind the Annual Wedding Survey have revealed the latest proposal trends and secrets around engagements and as it turns out, the Christmas holidays topped the results as the most popular time of year for proposals!
· 43% of proposals happen between the 24th December – 1st January
· 16% of women would change their engagement ring if they secretly didn’t like it
· 69% of men would not get the Father of the Brides approval
“The festive period is a very special time of year and it’s a great way to start off the celebrations. After speaking to couples who got engaged over Christmas, we have come to learn it’s so popular, not just because you’re around your family, but because it doesn’t then interrupt Christmas day traditions” says Sophie Jordan, spokesperson for Chillisauce.
The Annual Wedding Survey questioned 10,000 men and women in the UK with closed and open-ended questions in order to gather the most interesting results.
Sophie also added:
“Our busiest time of year for organising stag and hen events for our customers is between January and March, and with most with most events going out in the Summer before the wedding, we thought it would made perfect sense that so many people are asking the most important question of their lives over Christmas.”
