A new luxury hotel, Dakota Deluxe Manchester, is set to open in the city centre May 2019 bringing style and elegance to the heart of Manchester.
Located on Ducie Street, Dakota Deluxe will become the latest addition to the Piccadilly basin. The award-winning boutique hotel brand already has properties in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leeds, but now their sights are set firmly on Manchester.
We were invited to Dakota Glasgow to get a glimpse of what we can expect from this new hotel and let me tell you Manchester, we are in for a real treat.
What makes the the Dakota brand different to others is there commitment to exuding “style that lasts, not fashion that fades”.
The interiors of the hotel, which were created by acclaimed designer Amanda Rose, ensures a warm and cosy atmosphere through the subtle warm lighting and cool monochromatic palette.
The level of service is exceptional which exemplifies the Scottish hospitality, they have created a hotel with an atmosphere that makes you never want to leave.
The hotel will have 137 bedrooms including 20 luxurious suites. One of these suites will be the Grand Deluxe Suite which is set to be the biggest suite in Manchester. The 1800sqft penthouse will have a terrace overlooking Ancoats and the NQ, stunning interiors and an on-site chauffeur and butler at your service. It will be the ultimate ‘treat yo’ self’ experience.
The regular rooms are just as beautiful with stylish interiors, HD smart TV’s, ensuite bathrooms and the best part – rain showers. There is nothing better than having a long shower, especially after a day of travel, and these showers will be one of the best you’ll ever step into.
While the rooms are amazing, the true heart and soul of the Dakota brand is their commitment to creating an exceptional Brasserie Grill. All the produce is of a high quality and has been locally-sourced, with the head chef creating a menu that is unique to each city.
In Glasgow, head chef Andrew Doherty treated us to a magnificent six-course meal that I am still thinking about. While the menu at Manchester will be different, the commitment to fresh, high quality ingredients cooked to perfection will remain, staying true to their philosophy of simple things done brilliantly.
The addition of the 100 seat Brasserie Grill will be a welcome addition to the Manchester food scene, for both local visitors and hotel guests.
The hotel will have a 75 seat chic and modern cocktail bar and a canal side terrace with a cigar garden for the cigar aficionados out there to match perfectly with a premium whiskey after dinner.
The eight-storey hotel is set to open May 2019. Room rates will start from £150.
Bookings are now being taken for Dakota Manchester.
