7 Huge Jose Mourinho Transfer Targets For United This Summer
Speculation is growing
United have just become the first club to receive over £1 billion in prize money in the Premier League season - and alongside the new bumper TV deal they are ready to spend big again this summer.
Add in the prize money the Europa League - and the all-important Champions League qualifying position - would bring and the next nine days are hugely important for United's transfer strategy this coming summer.
While there are many twists and turns to come in the months ahead, the following players have been constantly linked with United - and it would be a surprise not to see at least two of them arriving this summer.
Has been marginalised at Chelsea during their title winning season with the likes of Victor Moses getting ahead of him. Jose has always been a huge fan and knows the job he can do. The only question is if he would leave a title-winning team and, more importantly, if Chelsea would let him go to a huge rival.
2. Gareth Bale
Would take a world record bid to get him away from Real Madrid and would be a huge addition to this United side, adding pace and directness that has been missing. You get the sense that he has never shone as bright as some of the other big names at Real and a deal involving David De Gea going the other way could be an option.
3. Michael Keane
Could be another case of a player like Pogba who was let go only to cost United a fortune to bring back. The defence has been makeshift this season with any one of five players playing at centre back. Would cost big money but could form a long term partnership with Eric Bailly for years to come.
4. Romelu Lukaku
The top scorer in the Premier League would not come cheap but he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw helping to finish off all the chances United created and don't convert. Best friends with Paul Pogba which could help swing the deal in our favour.
5. James Rodriguez
If you believe the reports in the Spanish and Columbian media, this is already a done deal and will be announced when the season is over. Hasn't had much game time at Madrid and with De Gea helping to balance the deal he could come for next to nothing. Would fill Wayne Rooney's number 10 shirt.
6. Alexis Sanchez
Might seem outlandish to think we could get such a big player from one of our long standing rivals but you only have to look at Robin Van Persie to see that anything is possible. Despite Arsenal's poor season he has been outstanding at times and could add so much star quality.
" si quieres conocer el pasado, entonces mira tu presente que es el resultado . Si quieres conocer tu futuro mira tu presente que es la causa " if you want to know your past, you need to look at your present to get results. If you want to know your future look what you do now to achieve everything you want .
7. Antoine Griezmann
The big one that just keeps being linked to United. It would take a bid of more than £100 million but, as was shown with his French teammate Pogba, that sort of money isn't a problem for United. Would bring the goals United need so badly but it would all come down to having Champions League football.
