Pep: "Hart Is Free To Leave City If He Asks To Do So"

Should he stay or should he go now?

Hart

Pep Guardiola has stated that goalkeeper Joe Hart may leave the club permanently or on loan if he wishes to do so.

"I don't want players to be unhappy," the City manager said ahead of the club's clash with Stoke City tomorrow.

“I spoke with Joe the first moment we met in China [on the pre-season tour]. I have a lot of respect for him as a person and as a keeper. He’s valuable. Until August 31st, everything is open," he added referring to transfer deadline day.

It will be interesting to see how Hart reacts to these quotes. Should reported City target Claudio Bravo experience a bad run of form throughout the season, Hart may have an opportunity to win his place back.

Alternatively, he may not have the patience for such an outcome and prefer to continue his career elsewhere.
