This Quirky Withington Ice Cream Bar Has Just Gone 100% Vegan
Head there now
A Withington ice cream parlour known for its cruelty-free menu has just gone 100% vegan.
The Ice Shack's a quirky wee venue that's a real hit with those who know about it.
And now, it's launched the whole range of its ice cream with no dairy involved.
These flavours should definitely persuade those who don't know it to go along and have a look.
We will be reopening on Tuesday with 22 vegan ice creams and a host of new cake/chocolate ranges :) still open today as usual 12-9 pic.twitter.com/xCkIT5B58i— Ice Shack (@IceshackM20) March 31, 2017
There was also liquorice and rosemary soya ice cream, which owner Az says was a real hit on the first day - along with the chocolate peanut butter cake.
With a casual vibe and friendly staff, the Rippingham Road business is a favourite for loads of people in the area.
Az, who went vegan himself last June, told Lovin Manchester that he was proud to be able to commit to a "compassionate business ethic" like V Rev Diner and Tea Time Collective.
He says: "I've grown up in Manchester and love it to bits - we are just glad people are liking what we are doing and supporting us.
"I've tried to make the Ice Shack quirky but it's very rough around the edges chill place and pretty much all renovated by hand - by me."
As well as ice and sweet treats, Ice Shack has loads of other events during the week, including curry/burger nights, games nights and even a runners' community.
