A Cheshire village pub has just been named the ‘best in the UK’.

The Church Inn in Mobberley was crowned top of the list at the National Pub and Bar Awards, according to the Knutsford Guardian.

The traditional 18th century inn, which sits opposite the 12th century St Wilfrid’s Church, was praised for drinks, food, service and design at the National awards ceremony last week.
