A New Restaurant With 120 Gins And Loads Of Different Steaks Is Opening In The Corn Exchange
After unprecedented success in Glasgow
A restaurant which specialises in gin and steaks is coming to Manchester.
No, don't pinch yourself - you're not dreaming.
Alston Bar and Beef boasts 120 different types of gin and a selection of amazing steaks - and they're coming south to Manchester's Corn Exchange after the success of their Glasgow branch.
Their website explains their commitment to quality meat, pledging that they serve Tweed Valley beef selected from the top 1% of Scottish beef.
They add: "Alston uses 'clean beef' which means steers or heifers that have not yet calved. They must come from sustainable small batch farms that grass feed their animals and are audited by Quality Meat Scotland."
They have fun events for diners including Beef and Reef - a spin on the old surf and turf - as well as Muscle versus Mussel.
The menu's a meat-eater's paradise, including dishes like braised beef cheek (£16) and the Alston burger (£16) - and then there's the steaks...
- 250g D-Rump £20
- 300g Ribeye £29
- 300g Sirloin £30
- 227g Fillet £32
- 500g Club Sirloin £38
- 500g Bone in Ribeye £37
- 600g Chateaubriand For Two £65
General manager Riki Bennet says: “We are really looking forward to bringing Alston Bar & Beef to Manchester.
"Our bar and restaurant in Glasgow has been a real success and now we have the opportunity to grow our business south of the border which is particularly exciting.
"The Corn Exchange is the home to some fantastic operations and we will only enhance that further by building a quality steak and gin offering in a really unique environment that everyone can enjoy.”
Reserve us a table, guys...
