Here's Where To Get Kick-Ass Smoothies In The City

Rough night? We've got just the cure

Smoothie Bowl

Messy Friday night can only mean one thing right now - enough sausages and bacon piled on a sarnie to exceed even the most avid carnivores limit. Washed down with a shed load of coffee.

But, as Manchester starts to rival London in terms of healthy options - we decided to take advantage and check out a few of the fresher alternatives out there (you know, just in case you're feeling good.)

The Garden - Hale

Open until 5.30 every day of the week, this little holy grail is a brunch-lovers paradise and as its name suggests, has the freshest produce on offer for some serious heart-healthy soul food.

We highly recommend The Garden's glorious signature smoothie bowls and naughty-but-nice fresh bakes and juices. They taste just as good as they look (which is saying something trust us - seen as most are garnished with edible flowers!) but the charming little cafe also offers the usual suspects - including a Full English with eggs, bacon, sausages and home-made beans and sweet potato hash browns.

Plus, Instagram a picture of your grub with #EarthFriendlyFood and you might even get a little treat on them!

Cowherds - Manchester

A vegan truck to pack a punch!

They serve up some rip-roaring grub, juices, smoothies and energy balls to boot. You can find them on Greengate square from Monday to Friday 8-2pm so don't rely on them for dinner. They're a tiny bit on the pricey side for lunch out of a wagon (a meal and a juice will cost you around a tenner) but it's a great shout if you want a quick and healthy lunch on-the-go and a bargain considered all the good stuff you'll be putting into your body!

Rust and Stone MCR - Spinningfields

Part of the Kitchens in Leftbank, Spinningfields - Rust and Stone serves up delicious juices and smoothies Monday- Friday 7am-3pm and Saturday 9.30am-5pm. If you’re looking for a healthy alternative to your usual hangover brekkie this is the place. Wash down your free-range eggs with the hailed Hangover Cure smoothie and you're good-to-go!
