Sainsbury's has issued a recall for a vegetarian product on its shelve - as it turns out it may contain MEAT.

The retailer's told anyone who bought its own brand packets of 10 Vegetable Spring Rolls that it could contain 'an allergen' - which turns out to be prawns.

The 210g packs are to be returned to stores by anyone who has an allergy to prawns.

The announcement states: "It has been brought to our attention that the above product has been incorrectly packed resulting in some of the spring rolls containing prawns which are not declared on the packaging and therefore could be an allergen risk.

"As a precautionary measure, we are asking customers who have purchased this product, and have an allergy to prawns to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.

"No other products are affected by this issue and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused."
