Opened by Sunday Brunch chef Simon Rimmer, Greens was one of the first vegetarian restaurants in Manchester. Appealing to both veggies and non-veggies, with dishes that will get your taste buds tingling.

2. Earth Cafe, Turner Street
A dedicated vegetarian and juice bar with all recipes sourced from local ingredients. A perfect place to go on your lunch break or straight from work with the option of eating in and taking out. All meals are made on the day of sale with menus differing daily depending on what’s fresh at the market.

A trendy restaurant located right in the centre of town that specialises in vegetarian and plant-based food mainly from local produce. This place definitely has the ‘wow-factor’ with innovative dishes that look as great as they taste. Probably best for a special occasion but lunch options are also available.
Authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine with a menu that is as “diverse and colourful as the Indian continent itself.” A full range of traditional, unique dishes from all the corners of India that cater for even the tamest of taste buds. An experience you won’t get anywhere else in Manchester.
5. V Revolution
A retro vegan diner situated in the Northern Quarter perfect for those hungover days! Junk-food favourites with a vegan twist. Just think burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and yummy desserts- you definitely won’t leave feeling hungry.
6. Lotus Vegetarian Kitchen
The first Vegetarian Chinese restaurant in Manchester inspired by the home recipes of the owner. It’s complete with traditional Chinese favourites made with their own vegetarian spin and mock meats to get the full Chinese eating experience.
The Piccadilly gardens vegetarian curry place is doing brilliantly since opening last year. Those meat eaters may feel as if you could be limited for curry options with them just serving up veggie dishes – but you’ll be wrong.
From chickpeas, sweet potatoes and everything in between, the curry small plates are incredible.
